Toshiba refreshes Tecra line

Markham, Ont. – Toshiba of Canada Information Systems Group has opened a new Tecra A9 notebook computer series, the latest addition to it’s business class laptop family.

In addition to being powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processors, the line features a shock absorbing design, an accelerometer that protects the hard drive of a falling machine and an improved spill resistant keyboard.

The fully loaded Tecra A9 systems with 15.4-inch LCD widescreen displays feature Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, Super-Multi Double Layer DVD drive, 1GB DDR2 of memory, bilingual keyboard and come loaded with Genuine Windows Vista Business.

The series launches with three models;

–the Tecra A9 PTS52C-MH709C with Intel Core2 Duo T7500 processor and 160 GB of hard disc drive space is available for the suggested list price of $1,949;

–the Tecra A9 PTS52C-MH409C Intel Core2 Duo T7300 processor with 120 GB of hard disc drive space is available for the suggested list price of $1,749;

–and the PTS52C-MH109C with Intel Core2 Duo T7100 with 120 GB of hard disc drive space is available for the suggested list price $1,599.
