Two-factor authentication technology vendor CryptoCard names new partner

CryptoCard, an Ottawa, Ont.-based two-factor authentication (2FA) technology solution vendor, has named Caledon, Ont.-based Digica Solutions as the latest VAR to join its North American Partner Program.

The CryptoCard Partner Program has been developed to serve as an extension of its partner’s current offerings. Through the program, partners can obtain additional sales and marketing support and materials as required.

In addition to its Caledon office, Digica also has offices in Mississauga, Ont. and Vaughan, Ont. and serves customers nation-wide. Joe Ussia, director of sales at Digica, said the demand for 2FA technology is increasing.

“It is clear that static passwords will not provide sufficient protection,” Ussia said. “Our customer base needs a nimble and flexible product that can grow with their requirements. CryptoCard’s two-factor authentication technology is…easy for us to rollout to our customers, and very easy to manage.”

CryptoCard’s flagship 2FA technology, offers users enhanced security and password protection since it utilizes a token as well as a unique user-PIN. The token generates a new password each time the user logs on and a PIN is then used to verify the token-holder is indeed the right one. By taking on this type of approach, obtaining information via key logging becomes that much more difficult.
