Unity Telecom fills vacant CEO position

Erin Sherry has assumed the role of CEO of Top 100 solution provider Unity Telecom. Erin Sherry was the Vice President of Finance for the Newmarket, Ont.-based company.

This move comes shortly after the death of its founder and President, Dave Sherry on June 26, 2012.

Erin Sherry has overseen Unity Telecom’s finances and administration since its inception. She was part of the strategic team that laid the foundation of the company which has built its presence in every major Canadian city and the U.S. with an office in Arizona.

Erin Sherry will be joined by Randy Bergeron, Vice President of Sales, who will take on the role of President. Bergeron’s early career as a technical engineer and software specialist, as well as his extensive experience in telecommunications operations prepares him well for this position.

Erin Sherry called Bergerson a trusted partner and friend who worked alongside Dave Sherry for three decades and has been with Unity Telecom since the company was founded. “He has been integral to Unity’s tremendous growth, including the deployment of business communications solutions for more than 3,000 customer locations in the last eight years.”

Bergeron said that wrking with Dave Sherry he learned from the very best. “I am dedicated to maintaining the integrity that has always been such an important part of Unity.”
