Dell has announced a major update to its SharePlex database replication solution, one that adds SAP HANA, Teradata and EnterpriseDB Postgres support.
The update, which is aimed at facilitating analytics, already replicated between Oracle environments, and other target environments including Microsoft SQL Server, SAP ASE, Java Message Service (JMS), SQL and XML Files.
According to Dell, data is replicated at near-real-time speeds and does not impact the production database. The update also aims to reduce downtime and allow for practice runs with little impact on the production environment.
General availability will be both direct and through channel partners and is slated for May 24.
