Former Dell Canada boss leaves the company

CDN has learned that Paul Cooper who was the Canadian country manager for Dell up until January of this year has left the company.

CDN also learned that Cooper has left his post as chair for Information Technology Association of Canada’s Ontario chapter. ITAC is an association for Canadian information and communications technologies industry.

Cooper held the post of country manager for Dell taking over from Greg Davis in 2008 when he left the Canadian operation to become worldwide channel chief.

Earlier this year Cooper was appointed the new business lead for Public and Large Institutions (PLI) for Dell after the return of Kevin Peesker, who became Dell Canada’s first ever president.

As executive director of public and large institution sales, Cooper was responsible for all aspects of Dell Canada’s sales and operational activities in the public market segments.

Cooper is also a member of the board for ITAC Canada as well as the chair of the ITAC Ontario Board. Cooper also became a board member for the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council.

Prior to joining Dell Canada in 2001, Cooper worked for GE Capital IT Solutions in various executive roles.

According to his bio, Cooper is a Six Sigma Greenbelt and has defined strategy, reorganized and revitalized organizations with his process oriented approach, team building, communication and coaching skills.
