Ingram Micro launches next-generation cloud platform and expanded services portfolio

Odin Automation Premium unveiled by Renee Bergeron, SVP of global cloud, and Tarik Faouzi, VP of global cloud partners, at Ingram Micro's Cloud Summit in Phoenix, AZ, on Apr. 20.

PHOENIX – Ingram Micro is looking to revolutionize cloud services delivery with its latest announcement at its Cloud Summit in Phoenix on Apr. 19-21.

The company has unveiled the next generation of Odin Automation Premium, its flagship cloud automation software, and Essentials cloud delivery platform.

Odin Premium, which powers the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace that provides cloud services to more than 40,000 channel partners in 36 countries, is gaining several new features, including business intelligence, IoT and digital services management.

The business intelligence module allows service providers to “easily consolidate, analyze and monetize cloud business data with a turnkey solution that provides a pre-defined, extensible data warehouse framework, workflows, Microsoft Power Bi pre-integration, KPI dashboards and reports,” which lets providers monitor their business, create tailored service bundles and increase revenue based on the data collected.

Odin Premium will also enable the combination of devices, connectivity and service subscriptions so that partners can create IoT solutions for their customers, rapidly onboard new digital services and reduce time-to-market for all services.

Odin Automation Essentials, which was first released at last year’s Cloud Summit, now includes several new capabilities that enable Microsoft Tier-1 cloud solution providers (CSPs) and hosting service providers (hosters) to get a wider range of higher-margin services to the market faster and more cost-effectively.

Providers will be able to sell cloud services such as Azure and Windows 10 Enterprise licenses, and the enhanced automation platform also offers shared and virtual private server hosting services with its new webhosting and cloud Infrastructure modules, leading to more revenue-generating opportunities.

Ingram simplifies expanding services portfolio for Odin partners

Ingram Micro has also launched its Federation Program, which gives Odin Automation Premium customers with a more efficient way to expand their cloud solution portfolios without needing to directly negotiate individual vendor contracts.

The Federation Program allows Odin partners to operate a hybrid catalog and gain access to a wide range of curated ISV products using their existing commercial relationships as well as Ingram Micro’s agreements.

The company expects this to “dramatically” shorten time to market for many new services, as well as simplify contracting, vendor management, deployment, integration, billing and support.

Ingram adds in an Apr. 20 press release that partners can also use Federation Program to offer their own services to the market.
