Montreal software company’s ERP solution goes live on Amazon Appstore

It’s not easy selling on Amazon, according to John Ruby.

While the space Amazon offers its merchants, Seller Central, allows them to manage inventory orders and other account settings, it’s not easy keeping track of profits or products’ journey to and from Amazons’ many fulfillment centres.

Most merchants end up stringing together a bunch of apps, including QuickBooks for example, to do some of that backend heavy lifting, the chief executive officer of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions vendor Jonar told Channel Daily News.

“And there’s no true SAP, NetSuite, or some other big player integration with the platform. It’s very complicated,” he said.

It seems like Amazon knows this to be true, which is why it’s adding Jonar’s ParagonERP solution to its Marketplace Appstore.

The Amazon Marketplace Appstore has been undergoing a slow rollout since it launched May 2018, and includes a number of different third-party apps that handle pricing, inventory, advertising and other needs for sellers.

ParagonERP is currently listed in a number of categories in the Appstore, including Inventory and Order Management, Shipping Solutions, Analytics and Reporting and Ecommerce Solution Connectors.

Jonar has a growing number of channel partners reselling and servicing ParagonERP. The Montreal-based firm launched its partner program in October 2018.

“This is an ecosystem that is very opportunistic for channel partners to get into,” said Ruby about the ERP space.

The global cloud ERP software market is projected to be worth US40.5 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 13.6% during 2019 and 2025 according to research firm Statista.
