Plurilock launches ADAPT multi-factor authetication program

Plurilock, a Victoria-based cybersecurity solution company specializing in authentication, has launched its new ADAPT system for enterprise environments.

Whereas traditional MFA requires the user to create passwords or use biometrics, Plurilock ADAPT MFA analyzes the user’s environment, usage context, and behavior patterns to provide confirmation. It requires no specialized hardware or training, all the while being privacy compliant. The Plurilock ADAPT MFA is designed for Citrix and web applications and is deployed entirely through software. For its web apps security solution, the developer need only to call upon the Javascript functions through the provided API.

Passwords and biometrics are created by integrating things that users have and know. So things like smartphones and intimate personal dates are often used. Unfortunately, these tools and information are often forgettable and cause inconveniences. Plurilock’s ADAPT MFA bases its authentication factors using metrics like keystroke pattern, mouse actions, network packets, and even the user’s physical posture and ambient light. The data is processed using machine learning to recognize the user.

“ADAPT enables organizations to deploy strong multi-factor authentication without the need for phones, token fobs, or other headaches,” says Ian Paterson, Plurilock CEO. “Clients that previously found MFA deployment to be difficult or costly can use ADAPT to achieve state-of-the-art MFA quickly, without breaking the budget and without the usual revolts among users and IT staff.”

ADAPT MFA’s capabilities are also integrated with Plurilock’s defend, its continuous authentication solution. Once authenticated, Plurilock’s continuous authentication product DEFEND continues to monitor the session and detect behavioral changes up to 800 times a day.

Both ADAPT MFA and DEFEND will be available through the Plurilock partner program. Pricing ranges between US$3 to US$9 per user per month.
