Tech Data makes its first Avnet move

Approximately one month since the officially closing of the Tech Data/Avnet deal and we have our first announcement from the combined entity. Tech Data’s newly minted Technology Solutions business has added three new value-added service providers to the Avnet Cloud Marketplace.

The new service providers HotLink, ParkMyCloud and Zadara. All three will be available in Canada and the U.S. The three offer channel partners new opportunities with disaster recovery, SaaS, and storage.

HotLink’s DR Express is Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service or DRaaS and features low pricing and unlimited scalability of Amazon Web Services (AWS) plus native integration with VMware vCenter management – combined with HotLink technology and resources to support business resiliency requirements.

ParkMyCloud’s Cloud Cost Optimization Platform is a SaaS tool that allows AWS and Microsoft Azure customers to eliminate wasted cloud spend by scheduling on/off times for idle cloud computing services.

Finally, Zadara Storage offers Storage-as-a-Service or STaaS with public cloud providers featuring security and enterprise applications. Zadara enables organizations to turbocharge applications in the cloud with elastic, enterprise-grade cloud SAN, NAS and object storage by the hour.

Stacy Nethercoat, vice president, Tech Data Cloud, Americas at Tech Data, said these suppliers offer game-changing products that will empower channel partners with a new set of resources and tools, allowing them to quickly onboard new cloud offerings and deliver the solutions their customers are demanding.
