ViewSonic goes vertical to the hospitality sector

After a successful CES event in Las Vegas, ViewSonic has introduced a new line of ultra-slim displays specifically for the hospitality market.

ViewSonic’s new VT display series comes with commercial connectivity and automated controls that can display content experiences throughout hotels and public display venues, said Gene Ornstead, director of product marketing, ViewSonic.

Ornstead added that previous solutions offered limited feature consumer type displays. ViewSonic’s new VT series can accommodate many different content types and media sources at affordable prices.

The product is available in 24-inch, 27-inch, 32-inch and 42-inch sizes. The VT2406-L, VT2756-L, VT3200-L and VT4200-L feature an energy saving 1920 x 1080 LED panels reducing power consumption.

It also features built-in HDTV TV tuners and various connectivity options for PC and video content devices. Hospitality targets for these new display units are guest rooms, sports bar entertainments, classroom displays, campus and small business signage. The product allows for installation in portrait or landscape orientation and the included tabletop stand is removable.

Extra features include a RS232 control port and infrared remote control pass through, programmable calibration, with USB cloning capability.

The VT2406-L, VT2756-L, VT3200-L and VT4200-L are available in North America and Latin America. The MSRP range from $349 to $749. The VT Series are available in January and sold through ViewSonic’s national distribution partners, DMRs and VAR network.
