MONTREAL – Edzard Overbeek, the senior vice president of Cisco Services, in a wide-ranging interview conducted at the Cisco Partner Summit, discussed how big data is transforming the services market and how the channel can take advantage of it.
Overbeek said the currency of the 21st century is data. However, there are some professionals and some companies that will not let the data leave their premises, while others are more flexible. Part of the acquisitions Cisco has made were done because of big data and security for the channel partners.
