Dell EMC has a new Canadian channel chief

Dell has announced Dell EMC’s new Canadian channel chief following the retirement of Deanna Thomson in January.

Andre Valiquette, a 19-year-old Dell veteran, is moving over from his previous role as vice-president of commercial sales for the Central East region of Canada to become the new head of channel in Canada.

Andre Valiquette, a 19-year-old Dell veteran, is moving over from his previous role as vice-president of commercial sales for the Central East region of Canada to become the new head of channel in Canada.

Dell made the announcement today, noting in a press release that his previous responsibilities included coordinating with partners in the region. In his new role, Dell says Valiquette will be tasked with “strengthening our relationships with our Canadian partner network and better enabling you to deliver transformational solutions to your customers,” and will be available for interviews in the coming weeks.

Thomson moved into her role as channel chief at the end of 2016, prior to the mega merger between Dell and EMC. In tandem with Thomson’s retirement announcement, Dell also revealed last month that Kevin Connolly, the former president of commercial sales for Canada, had shifted to the role of senior vice-president of North America commercial sales for medium business. Connolly’s previous role has now been filled by Paul Katigbak , a long-time EMCer with 30-plus years of experience in executive roles. Katigbak started out as a senior consultant manager for EMC Canada in 2004.
