Tech Data Canada and HP Enterprise do BCS deal
Tech Data Canada was named by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) as an authorized distributor of the company’s Business Critical Systems (BCS) products.
The BCS product line are now available to Tech Data’s network of solution providers across Canada and will be supported by the distributor’s Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Division.

Ingram Micro Canada to partner with Under Armour and others
At the Ingram Micro Canada Partner Experience event Dave Mason, the vice president of sales informed the audience of about 250 channel partners that the distributor would be entering into a unique partnership with sports apparel manufacturer Under Armour.
The Baltimore-based Under Armour has already spent more than US$710 million acquiring MapMyFitness, MyFitnessPal, and Endomondo three digital app vendors to spruce up its focus on big data and the Internet of Things.

Westcon CEO says company is a security distributor
The IT marketplace has known Westcon/Comstor as a distributor that specializes in networking. Well according to its CEO Dolph Westerbos that’s no longer true.
Westerbros, who is responsible for strategic direction and overall management of the $5 billion distributor, told CDN that Westcon is a security distributor.

IBM Canada ends distribution partnership with Tech Data Canada
CDN has learned that after more than two decades of partnership, IBM Canada has severed its distribution ties with Tech Data Canada.
Rick Reid, president of Tech Data Canada has confirmed the news, stating that it was a economic decision.
