The Reddit recap highlights last week’s top trending posts on the r/msp subreddit. This is the largest MSP-related group on Reddit with nearly 48,000 members. Looking for a quick answer or some valuable input? This is the place to be.
This behemoth-sized post is from EveryCloud, a managed services provider that, for a while, has been updating its list of command lines, shortcuts, processes, security tips and whatever else makes MSPs’ jobs easier.

A one-person show doing some break fixes and managed services posted a story about a recent client demanding they track all their work.
The request came after the Redditor was called into a meeting with the client’s CEO and CFO. While they were pleased with the MSP’s work, they were questioning the $2,000 monthly price tag.
“Does he really work that much?” They asked.
Needless to say, the Redditor got pretty upset at the question, but most of the post’s comments suggest documentation is something that should be happening. Plus, several people pointed to the fact that if you show the client the documentation, they’ll see how much of a bargain they’re actually getting.

Someone asked if there was a comprehensive list of MSPs that have been hacked.
“From an informal source I’ve heard 1-2 MSPs get breached weekly. It would be an interesting list to try and find any trends with the current attack waves,” the person wrote.
Many links are shared here, most of them very helpful, but most people agreed that these incidents largely go unreported.
While many of the suggestions and links posted in the comments lead to U.S.-only stats, it’s safe to say that ransomware and other breaches are under-reported in Canada, too.
