Vancouver VoIP solution vendor launches master distribution program

Vancouver-based CounterPath Corp., a developer of desktop, tablet and mobile VoIP software products and solutions, has launched a Master Distribution Program to help channel partners distribute its CounterPath Bria desktop and mobile softphones, configuration solutions and cloud-based SaaS solutions to enterprise customers.

According to CounterPath, the distribution program was launched to help partners meet an increasing demand by the enterprise for desktop and mobile softphones. The vendor says it will reach more than 10,000 VARs and agents across North America through distribution agreements with Interwork Technologies, TeleDynamics and World Telecom Group.

“In recent months CounterPath has increasingly been working to meet the needs of channel partners,” said Todd Carothers, executive vice-president of marketing and products at CounterPath, in a statement. “By formalizing our channel partner program and launching the Master Distribution Program, we are able to streamline our offerings, better support the efforts of our partners, and ultimately increase demand for our products and services.”

The distribution program is available to qualified Master Agents and VARs, and allows channel partners to leverage CounterPath’s interoperability program, hosted Client Configuration Server (CCS) platform and Bria product line. It also alights with the launch of CounterPath’s managed cloud mobility SaaS solution.

“The Apple iTunes and Google Play stores present unique challenges for mass distribution because they primarily focus on the consumer market,” said Carothers. “By making enterprise-ready softphone clients readily downloadable via these stores and enabling remote configuration in the cloud, CounterPath has ‘cracked the code’ and made it easy for channel partners to help their customers roll out softphones to employees quickly and painlessly.”
