D&H Canada’s marketing offering is completely free

Technology distributor D&H Canada has announced a marketing program that offers partners a resource library of marketing materials, and is targeting small and medium resellers almost exclusively.

The new service, called Partner Services Marketing program, includes brochure templates on new technologies, specific vendors and small and medium-sized business [SMB] trends, all of which can be rebranded by the reseller, and all for free, according to the company’s official statement.

According to Greg Tobin, general manager at D&H Canada, the company’s marketing tools were launched now as opposed to earlier in the year, as its competitors did, because of the unique needs of its client base.

“Over 87 per cent of our customers profiled service 19 seats and less,” Tobin said, explaining that the majority of the company’s partners are smaller in size.  “We view ourselves as the champion of SMB.”

The service also comes with useful information from vendors including Cisco, HP and Microsoft on topics such as Microsoft Windows XP and Server 2003 end-of-service opportunities. While the resource library is only available to existing D&H partners, Tobin said the company would reach out to new businesses, especially those whose owners may also be “the installer, the salesperson, the accounts payable and marketing department,” with no time to be an expert in all areas.

“They really do not have the internal resources to dedicate solely to that type of a communication structure,” said Randy Churchill, senior manager of business development and marketing at D&H Canada. “I think sometimes we take that for granted.”
