San Diego, CA – Avaya has announced a new channel chief for Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.
The communication solutions vendor has appointed Santiago Aguirre as its channel and distribution director for the Avaya Americas international region.
For Aguirre, Canada will be a new responsibility. In his previous role was the channel director of the CALA region, he worked to expand the Avaya partner program in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Prior to joining Avaya, he also held management-level roles at Cisco for over 9 years.
“This role will give me more leverage to replicate best practices from my region, take it to Canada and vice versa as well as provide a corporate alignment in the channels in the region,” Aguirre said about his new responsibilities during a sit-down interview with CDN. “We’re not going to disrupt anything,”
