New line of MFPs from Ricoh

WEST CALDWELL, N.J. — Ricoh Corp. launched the Aficio MP 1600/MP 2000 series, which enable users to copy, print, scan and fax all from a compact and powerful system.

The MP 1600spf and MP 2000spf are pre-configured and offer digital copying, printing, scanning and faxing standard.

In addition, Ricoh also launched the MP 1600L/MP 2000L Series that provides copying, PCL6 printing and TWAIN scanning capabilities and is ideal for Windows-based environments such as small businesses, workgroups and offices that require a budget-friendly package.

The MP 1600/MP 2000 incorporates user-friendly and time-saving features in addition to output speeds of 16 pages per minute (ppm) for the MP 1600 and 21 ppm for the MP 2000.

Copying and scanning capabilities can be enhanced with the large, ledger-sized platen and jobs can be run without interruption due to a generous maximum paper capacity of up to 1,350 sheet on the MP 1600 and 1,600 sheets on the MP 2000.

In addition, an optional 30-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) can be added to the MP 1600 and MP 2000 or an optional 50-sheet Automatic Reversing Document Feeder (ARDF) to the MP 2000 that processes two-sided documents automatically. The MP 1600L and MP 2000L match all the output speeds, volume ranges, document feeding and paper supply versatility of the MP 1600 and MP 2000.

In order to eliminate paper waste and save time, postage and delivery charges, the MP 1600/MP 2000 provides users with optional advanced scanning capabilities to convert documents to TIFF or PDF files and send them directly to recipients’ e-mail addresses or network folders. The PDF or TIFF files can be encrypted and securely shared as well as archived in network folders.

The suggested retail price of the Aficio MP 1600 is $2,300; the MP 1600spf is $3,325; the MP 1600L is $2,825; the MP 2000 is $2,950; the MP 2000spf is $4,225; and the MP 2000L is $3,475.
