Johna Till Johnson takes a closer look at the data loss prevention (DLP) market space.

“Deployment of data-leak prevention deployment is a relatively new event, according to Nemertes’ conversations with IT executives. For the third of organizations that are already using DLP the average start date was 2007. This represents the first wave of adoption. An additional 24.3 per cent of organizations are currently evaluating or planning to evaluate DLP and an additional 21.2 per cent of organizations plan to use or evaluate in the next 24 months. In the end, nearly 80 per cent of organizations will either be using or evaluating DLP within the next two years.”
