Dell to deliver new line up of Windows 8 devices

Dell is refreshed its business device portfolio for Microsoft Windows 8.

The new Windos 8 products from Dell have been designed to provide a more intuitive touch experience along with security and manageability features. Dell also said that these new devices have been designed with aesthetics and style.

The Round Rock, Tex.-based Dell announced it is making available for pre-order three new PCs in its upcoming fall portfolio: the XPS 12, XPS One 27 and Inspiron One 23. The systems are currently available for pre-sale to customers in Canada through the channel.

Further, Dell is offering Windows 8 as an option on its current XPS, Inspiron, Latitude, OptiPlex and Precision brands.

Sam Burd, vice president of PC Product Group at Dell, said Dell and Microsoft have strived to make technology more accessible and intuitive for more than two decades and the introduction of new Dell PCs and Windows 8 software is another important milestone in this journey.

The XPS 12 is two devices in one: a laptop that becomes a touch-powered tablet. The flip hinge touchscreen display helps uses to transition between laptop and tablet mode. When in tablet mode, the display completely covers the keyboard, protecting it from dirt and spills. The HD display provides 90 per cent more pixels than a standard HD display for an exceptionally crisp reading and viewing experience, according to Dell.

The XPS One 27 All-in-One is designed for the creative community high resolution display and performance graphics for multimedia creation and entertainment. The 27-inch Wide Quad HD Display has 78 per cent more pixels than a HD display, and an articulating stand that tilts the display to a 60-degree angle, providing additional options when using the touchscreen interface.

These products represent a portion of Dell’s upcoming refreshed lineup of PCs. Dell will unveil additional product platforms in the XPS, Latitude, OptiPlex and Inspiron brands, as well as new monitors in the coming weeks.

XPS 12 convertible – starting at $1,199.99.

XPS One 27 with touch – starting at $1599.99

Inspiron One 23 AIO with touch – starting at $799.99

XPS13 – starting at $999.99.
