Insite Computer Group Inc. provided a complete infrastructure move and facility within a very short time frame. Provided 24×7 managed support for the SMC’s network backbone only including OC3 links, firewalls and switches all from Insite’s Toronto datacentre.

Describe what made your Service of the highest quality. Provide evidence of how the service benefited the customer’s business, e.g. measurable improvements in sales, revenues, cost reduction, productivity, lost time due to outage, etc.

This mult-billion international company was moving office locations. 30 days prior to the move they found out they could not move their network backbone to the new location as it did not have the fiber access required for their OC3 lines. They contacted their national telco, who could not facilitate their requirements at any of their datacentre locations. They approached their communications partner to help facilitate a solution. Maxx Global called Insite.

Describe how services were delivered in a timely fashion and/or how response to a crisis was over and above the accepted norm?

Insite immediately put a solution together that would meet the customer’s requirements. As a temporary measure until fiber would be provisioned in their new location (promise from the telco was 99 days). Insite was able to build the proper secure infrastructure required by the customer. Insite realized their Telco was located in the same Insite datacentre and proceeded to make inquiries as to the OC3 lines currently being leased by this customer. It turned out that these lines terminated within the Datacentre. After a conference call with 3 Insite Engineers and 12 of the telco engineers and arrangement was put into place whereby the same lines the customer was already leasing could be brought into Insite’s datacentre suite for a minimal cost for a cross connect through the buildings meet-me room. This save the 10’s of thousands of dollars that would have had to be spent on lighting up new OC3 lines. Insite was able to meet the customers move deadline and they have been within the facility for 9 months with no down time.

Describe how your services go beyond competitors to satisfy the needs of your customer(s).

Provide examples or evidence of how your services are the better and why.This customer was not an Insite customer but was treated as one Insite worked with their communications provider and their Telco to go above an beyond what any other service provider had currently been able to do for them. Insite understood the urgency, understood the problem and most importantly understood the solution. Rather than going with the most profitable solution Insite chose what was best for the customer and in turn saved them money.

Optional Question: How does this solution further your customer’s green or environmentally friendly plans?

By placing the customer’s infrastructure in a green datacentre, it automatically reduced their Green Footprint.
