RICHMOND HILL, Ont. — Lexmark Canada Inc. has brought out three new colour laser printer families and a new line of colour laser multifunction printers for organizations and small businesses.
The Lexmark C780n, C782n and C935dn colour laser printer families are designed for business workgroups that need access to high-quality, reliable colour printing technology at affordable prices, the company said.
“Colour can have a tremendous impact for businesses, but it can be expensive for customers to use widely, especially if they are outsourcing documents to the local print shop,” said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its printing solutions and services division. “These new printers give customers a more flexible and efficient way to get the same impact without breaking their budget.”
With extensive media-handling capabilities, the new models can help customers implement colour easily across their business, said the company. They can be used for everything from printing logos on letterhead and labels to help businesses increase their brand awareness to helping increase productivity in a retail store by printing colour photos of each product on shelf planograms.
They can also print on difficult media like heavy card stock for documents such as invitations and oversized banner paper for signage and can also be used for unique applications such as printing colour photos of patients on hospital wristbands to increase patient safety.
The Lexmark C780n line features print speeds up to 31 pages per minute (ppm) in colour and up to 35 ppm in monochrome for prices starting at $999. The C782n family prints at speeds up to 35 ppm in colour and 40 ppm in monochrome for prices starting at $1,479. The C935dn family prints up to 40 ppm in colour and 45 ppm in monochrome, as well as A3 ledger or tabloid printing capabilities and finishing options such as stapling, hole-punch and booklets, for prices starting at $3,529*. It also features two-sided printing standard to help customers reduce paper usage and conserve resources.
The new colour laser MFP lineup features five new products: the X782e, X940e and X945e for business workgroups, and the X500n and X502n for small businesses and desktop users.
The X782e prints at speeds up to 35 pages per minute (ppm) in colour and 40 ppm in monochrome for an estimated street price of $5,529. The Lexmark X940e offers print speeds up to 30 ppm in colour and 40 ppm in monochrome, as well as A3 ledger or tabloid printing capabilities and extensive finishing options such as folding and booklets for $17,199. For customers that need even more powerful performance, the Lexmark X945e prints at speeds up to 40 ppm in colour and 45 ppm in monochrome for $20,499.
For smaller businesses and workgroups, the X500n and X502n desktop colour laser MFPs feature quality, speed and features for prices ranging from $599 to $799.
