New Signature buys Microsoft-specific consultancy firm

It what has shaped up to be an eye-catching year for New Signature with establishing a presence in the Canadian market through the acquisition of CMS Consulting, the Washington, D.C.-based solution provider has now attained Atlanta-based Microsoft consulting firm InfraScience.

The company said the InfraScience acquisition will act as the springboard for New Signature to better serve customers headquartered in the Greater Southeast and deliver expanded services to all of the company’s North American customers.

InfraScience launched in 2003 and provides technology enabled business solutions to organizations on a global scale, delivering strategic planning, design and implementation services through a wide range of complex technology solutions, including Azure, Enterprise Mobility Suite, and Office 365.

Moving forward InfraScience will operate as New Signature and its founders Jeff Meyer, Phil Bartholomew, and Mark Pierce have agreed to take active roles in the new organization reporting to New Signature CEO, Jeff Tench.

For New Signature InfraScience provides the company with a full-stack Microsoft partner focused on the complete lifecycle of IT transformation through New Signature’s Plan > Build > Operate model.

In a blog post Meyer said joining New Signature will help his clients and prospects seek guidance on how to navigate their organizations into a cloud-first, mobile-first world.

“We are committed to understanding their challenges and sharing our expertise in this environment. We are excited to add full 24/7 Managed Services, custom line-of-business solutions and Infrastructure Guardian cloud management services to assist our clients in achieving value from Microsoft,” Meyer said.

InfraScience is the third acquisition for New Signature this year and it follows the iMason deal of Nov. 2nd and the CMS Consulting pact of June 1. The company also secured a $35 million investment from Columbia Capital in late April.
