New version of Retrospect released

HOPKINTON, Mass. – EMC Corp. announced the availability of EMC Retrospect 7.5, with enhanced support for the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. The new functionality boosts information security for small and medium businesses and home and home offices using Microsoft Windows Vista.

By supporting and extending the stability and security features of the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, Retrospect 7.5 even further decreases any potential risk of data loss, and helps provide users a trusted computing platform. In addition, Retrospect 7.5 includes support for backing up to Blu-ray Disc.

“EMC Retrospect’s support of Microsoft Windows Vista operating system illustrates EMC’s continued commitment to develop reliable, easy-to-use and cost effective backup and recovery software for small and medium businesses,” said John Palmer, vice-president and general manager of EMC Insignia.

Retrospect 7.5 customers can download, at no charge, an electronic update to Retrospect 7.5 with Vista support.
