Next-generation iPhone illustrations revealed

New concept illustrations of the next-generation iPhone have been revealed, based on the latest rumours that Apple will launch a much thinner smartphone made with Liquidmetal and in-cell technology.

ADR Studio, an Italian design group which has created concept images of iPhones in the past, calls the latest device the ‘iPhone Plus’. The illustrations show an iPhone with a Liquidmetal body, a screen with double alkali-aluminosilicate sheet glass, and a 4.3in Retina display that uses in-cell technology.

The concept design features an A6 Quad Core processor, with a 10-megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front facing camera. The device also has a rear motion sensor, a projector to beam photos and videos onto any surface, and a new slim-dock connector. The home button is also fully capacitive.

It is expected that the iPhone will arrive this year, possibly in October. Most experts have dismissed rumours that the sixth-generation iPhone will launch at this year’s WWDC.
