Oki Data boosts MFP line up

Toronto – Oki Data Canada, under the OKI Printing Solutions brand, has announced new addition to its multifunction products (MFPs) line, that are designed for use in the small to medium business marketplace.

Although these products vary in terms of feature capabilities and pricing, all are ideal for small to medium business markets that range from financial and educational institutions, all the way to retail and healthcare industries, said Gus Piccin, general manager of Canadian operations at Oki Data Americas, Inc. during a briefing held at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

Piccin added that demand for MFPs has increased over the years.

“The MFP market continues to grow,” Piccin said. “Our all-in-one products provide a wide range of capabilities…that enable small businesses to operate at a larger workgroup level.”

The MFP models include the B4545, B2500 series, C3530n A4 and C5550n. These products are all-in-one solutions to suit everyday business needs.

Oki Data is banking on the all-in-one’s compact sizes as a unique selling feature to customers.

The B4545 MFP is a monochrome laser multifunction product that has features such as its scan-to-e-mail and scan-to-network function, which allows users to turn hardcopy documents into electronic files to send to an e-mail account or network folder in an efficient and convenient manner, all without the use of a computer.

The B2500 Series of MFPs offers a three-in-one functionality with printing, faxing, including colour scanning, and copying capabilities to its user.

“The B2500 Series MFP…[is] a single device [with an] all-in-one functionality for improved productivity and business workflow processes,” Piccin said.

The C3530n A4 MFP is a four-in-one solution for users to colour print, copy, scan and analog fax on. With the ability to print and copy up to 16 pages per minute in colour, and 20 pages per minute in black and white, this makes the C3530n A4 MFP two times faster in page output than most competitors in its class.

And launching next month is the C5550n MFP, another four-in-one device that increases print speeds to 20 pages per minute in colour and 32 pages per minute in black and white.

Rounding out the series for Oki Data, is the C8800 Series and the B4400 and B4600 Series of printers.

The C8800 Series is a digital large-format HD colour printer set for release next month. This series can print on a variety of media including postcards and tabloid banners. Using this printer, users can create photo-like quality outputs on everyday office paper.

The last of the series to be released in North and South America is the B4400 and B4600 Series monochrome printers, which will be launched next February.

All printers and MFP products come with a one-year overnight exchange warranty, as well as a 24 hour a day, seven day a week, 365 days a year toll-free technical support line.

In addition to technical support and warranty services, Oki Data, also maintains a relationship between its partner and customer and channel communities.

“We work together with resellers to set goals that are achievable,” Piccin said. “We want to look for more partners and we want them to understand that we have printers that can do a lot more than what other printers can do.”

For one thing, all of Oki Data printers can print banners and tabloids, something not all other printers can do.

But according to Piccin, what really sets Oki Data products apart from other competitors, are their high definition colour outputs as well as their partner and customer community relationships.
