Nearly 80 Percent of Cisco VARs Are Hiring

Heather K. Margolis writes that according to Cisco’s Talent Survey, many of their business partners are still hiring.
“Per Cisco’s Talent Survey they do twice a year, 78 per cent of partners are still hiring and 92.8 per cent expected at least 11-20 per cent growth in the next fiscal year. It’s more about strategic hires rather than volume hiring. Partners are doing much more due diligence and are focused on hiring the ‘right’ person, not just a body. An overwhelming 75.6 per cent of hires come from referrals while five per cent come from Cisco talent events.”
Camera on the iPod Touch is still in the works, eventually

Yoni Heisler writes that according to rumours, Apple may be developing a camera-enabled iPod Touch device.
“Reports are bubbling up that Apple still has a camera enabled iPod Touch in it sights, with some even speculating that Apple is working hard to get such a device to market in time for the holiday shopping season. Given the recent release of the Zune HD, which has been getting favourable reviews thus far, you can bet that Apple doesn’t want to wait too long before it upgrades the device.”

“The amount of storage any given organization manages is tied directly to its size: large companies (by annual revenue those above $1 billion) average on the order of 1 Petabyte of data; midsize companies ($300 million to $1 billion) average on the order of 100 Terabytes (more than $1 billion), and small companies average on the order of 10T of data.”
