Mary Whittle, the director of worldwide channel development at Avaya, had a busy year in 2009.
Whittle became Avaya Canada’s new channel chief early last year, taking over for Steve Bielawski.
Also in 2009, Avaya launched a program to poach partners from its then rival, Nortel Networks and also won the auction for Nortel’s enterprise business with a bid of US$900 million.
Here, Whittle discusses a new expanded role for herself, how much the company has changed over the past year and new plans for 2010.
