”Most intriguing was that the consulting firm broke it down by region. Apparently Moutain and Pacific zones are the ideal places to find a job right now. Go west, young IT managers!”

Scot Finnie wonders if Apple has the chops to take on Microsoft in the enterprise:

“Now, for the first time since the Mac was introduced in 1984, Apple has a real opportunity to play to win by focusing some of its resources on selling computers to large corporations.”

Should CIOs take Google seriously?

John Soat says the answer is yes:

”Google suffers from some of the same concerns CIOs had with Microsoft when it made its first thrusts into the enterprise arena fifteen years ago or so: Are its products functional enough for corporate use? Is it serious about enterprise support? And is its corporate culture compatible with conservative American business?”
