Why desktop virtualization is a tool, not a strategy for taking on BYOD

The bring your own device (BYOD) trend has been hitting organizations of all sizes hard in the last 18 months. Many businesseses are struggling to keep up with trend of consumer devices infiltrating the enterprise and channel partners are looking for ways to capitalize on the trend while helping their clients.

Earlier this month, Microsoft partner Navantis held an event in Toronto, where it addressed major concerns surrounding the BYOD movement and how businesses can adapt. Andy Papadopoulos, managing partner at Navantis, sat down with CDN to discuss his thoughts on the trend’s challenges and on desktop virtualization as a BYOD strategy.
