Qualcomm planning return to server market with new chip? Bloomberg News

Qualcomm Inc is reported to be considering a return to the server market.  The move will  “decrease its reliance on smartphones” according to Bloomberg News. Last year, Qualcomm acquired Nuvia, a chip startup founded by Apple veterans.  At the time, Reuters reported that the company “planned to put the firm’s technology into its smartphone, laptop and automotive processors.”

Shares of Qualcomm rose nearly 3 per cent after the announcement.
