Conpute wins top prize in Channel Elite Awards

A crowd reaching 200 people packed the Paramount Conference and Event Venue in North Toronto to find out which company would be named Solution Provider of the Year as part of CDN’s 2007 Channel Elite Awards.

The winner was Conpute of Oshawa, Ont. for its work with Town of Georgina to provide that community with wireless broadband along with solutions for the South Shore community and the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.

The night started off with renowned channel consultant and researcher Ken Presti delivering an insightful educational session on partnering.

Presti also presented the Best E-Commerce and Online Portal Solution gold award to Cactus Commerce Inc. The runner up in that category was End to End Networks Inc.

There were two outstanding gold winners in the Best Channel Marketing category. The winners were Voda Computer Systems Ltd. for its TechSelect Showcase Event and SoftChoice for is Vista study.

There were also multiple gold winners in Best Small Business Solution. Both Insite Computer Group and Conamex International took home the top prize. Plus Computer Solutions was award the bronze.

The Best Service Organization for 2007 is Communications Connections Canada. The silver winner in this category is MicroAge (Drummond Informatique Ltée), while TP Systems Ltd. won the bronze.

In the Best Mid-Market Solution category, xWave Solutions was the clear winner with its innovative On Patrol solution. The runner ups were TeamSFA Inc. with the silver prize and Konverge Digital Solutions Corp. with the bronze.

Finally, ARC Business Solutions won the gold award for Best Enterprise Solution. The silver in this category went to Compugen, while ThoughtCorp took home the bronze.
