Ingram Micro brings on former HP executive

IT distributor Ingram Micro Inc. announced today that the company has brought on Stan Clark as the new vice president of cloud solutions.

In his new role, Clark will be responsible for building upon Ingram Micro’s cloud services and solutions portfolio, which includes “identifying and recruiting key strategic cloud partners, developing new industry vertical services and solutions, and managing the partner experience within the division’s product marketing and management, vendor management, and cloud solutions teams,” according to the company official statement.

He previously worked for six years at HP, with his last role being the company’s worldwide senior director on the board of advisors at the office of the customer.  He also oversaw printers and personal systems and managed services and solutions at HP.

“Channel resellers and vendors who are serious about establishing and growing a credible cloud services and solutions portfolio need to take a serious look at the investments Ingram Micro is making to make cloud accessible and profitable,” said Clark in the statement.

According to Ingram Micro, he will report directly to Nimesh Dave, the company’s executive vice president of global cloud computing.
