Homemade, cloud-based anti-spam solution

LAVAL QUE. – Why should solution providers consider cloud-based anti-spam? Well according to Elaine Poellhuber, the business development and customer service manager for Montreal-based Zero Spam, there is a financial reason, a bandwidth reason and a Canadian reason.

Zero Spam was at the 2013 Millenium Micro Mega Convention hosted by Groupe Millenium Micro.

First the financial reason. Zero Spam is offering between 30 to 60 per cent margins on their flagship VBspam product. Solution providers have the option of white-labeling the product or do a strict resale where she says they can “easily earn 30 points.”

The bandwidth issue. Zero Spam can save users between 30 to 50 per cent of bandwidth because VBspam eliminates the spam before the network has to deal with it. “It never gets into content with your servers,” she said.

Finally, from a Canadian point of view, there are customer who do not wish to deal with the U.S. Patriot Act and therefore are looking for a Canadian-based solution. Since Zero Spam is based in Montreal they have been winning over customers such as VIA Rail because they can provide a purely homemade network.

Recently, Zero Spam got a 99.81 per cent score from the virusbtn.com.
