SolarWinds releases update to virtualization manager

SolarWinds, an IT management software provider, has announced SolarWinds Virtualization Manager 7, adding predictive analytics and recommendations to its latest virtualization management software.

With the latest updates, Virtualization Manager 7 can analyze and act on historical trends, respond to active issues, and prevent future problems with its predictive analytics. The software evaluates environments and workload patterns, recommends actions to fix and prevent issues, and applies fixes immediately or at a scheduled time after confirmation by an administrator.

Additional Virtualization Manager 7 features include:

  • Integrated VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V capacity planning, performance monitoring, virtual machine sprawl control, virtual desktop infrastructure performance monitoring, configuration management, alert remediation, and chargeback automation.
  • Integration with SolarWinds Orion Platform, a virtual resource of performance data collected by various SolarWinds monitors and incorporated into the platform’s application stack environment view.

This is the latest update to come to SolarWinds, which prides itself as a company that provides affordable IT management software to customers around the world, no matter how experienced administrators in charge of the software are. Its clients include Fortune 500 enterprises to small businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions.

SolarWinds Virtualization Manager starts at $2,995 USD, which includes a first year of maintenance. A 30-day free evaluation is also available on SolarWinds’ website.
