KPMG International has announced it is joining the IBM Quantum Network, saying it is aiming to further explore how quantum computing could open future opportunities for KPMG professionals and clients.
“As businesses across the globe continue to navigate through an era of rapid technological transformation, the demand for progress and exploration of how quantum computing can help to develop innovative solutions has never been more critical,” the firm said.
“As a member of the network, KPMG firms intend to explore how quantum computing, as it matures, might be leveraged to help solve problems across a range of businesses and industries.”
Nancy Chase, partner and national leader, risk consulting at KPMG in Canada, said that by joining the network, “we are ensuring that our clients will have the top skills and resources available to them as they make the leap to quantum. Many of our clients are already enquiring about how best to harness its potential, and a recent survey that we conducted showed that 17 per cent of Canadian organizations have already invested in quantum computing and over two-thirds plan to within the next five years.”
