A repeat winner at the CDN Top 100 gala

TORONTO – CDW Canada repeated as the No. 1 Solution Provider in Canada according to the CDN Top 100 Solution Providers rankings.

The list of 100 of the best IT solution providers was released last night at a gala awards ceremony attended by approximately 200 channel partners from across the country.

When the Etobicoke, Ont.-based company first joined the CDN Top 100 in 2006, CDW was ranked number 13th. Since then, the company consistently moved up in the ranking finally hitting the number one slot last year.

CDW Canada even broke the $550 million dollar mark for the first time since CDN changes the revenue reporting structure to just Canadian-based earnings. CDW Canada submitted a revenue range of $550 to $600 million.

Coming in second is Toronto-based Softchoice and rounding out the Top 5 are Compugen of Richmond Hill, Ont., CompuCom Canada of Mississauga, Ont.  And at the No. 5 spot is, for the first time, Long View Systems of Calgary. which reported more than $300 million and higher in revenue.

The best performing newcomer was Mississauga-based Eclipse Technology Solutions, an IT services solution provider specializing in communications technology.

The Rising Star winner went to long time Top 100 participant Data Integrity of Toronto who soared 22 spots to claim the prize.

For the third year running, CDN is awarding regional prizes and ESI Technologies of Montreal claimed the Central Region Solution Provider of the year. Best Small Business Solution Provider went again to Waterloo, Ont.-based FoxNet Inc. and the Best Mid-Market Solution Provider was won by Ottawa-based managed print services provider PrintersPlus.

The past two years have seen the Top 100 solution providers produce strong growth and 2014 was no exception with an above industry norm jump of five per cent reaching the $6.7 billion dollar mark in annual Canadian revenue, according to tabulations from CDN and IDC Canada.

The Top 100 Solution Providers Event was sponsored by Tech Data Canada, HP Canada, Dell Canada, StorageCraft, AMD, and for the first time Equinix Canada, a data centres and colocation cloud services company. The CDN Top 100 Solution Providers Gala was held at the Paramount Conference and Event Venue in North Toronto.
