Martello Technologies delivers on Mitel promise, updates MPA with new features

A new unified communications (UC) monitoring and management solution developed by Ottawa’s Martello Technologies has been inserted into Mitel Networks Corp.’s performance analytics solution.

Mitel Performance Analytics (MPA) now expands coverage to include MiVoice Connect and offers new features, such as the ability for customers to get ahead of potential voice and network quality and performance issues, the networking company announced yesterday. The announcement closes the loop on Martello’s updated partnership with Mitel, unveiled in January, which said Martello – a Mitel Premier Partner – would develop support in its software for the MiVoice Connect enterprise call platform, as well as the MiVoice 5000 communications and collaboration solution and the MiVoice Office 400. The amendment also extended the renewal term of the agreement to two years with automatic two-year renewals.

A breakdown of the MPA enhancements:

  • Support for MiVoice Connect – secure remote access; telephony services, CPU, disk and network monitoring; and alarm management
  • Improved MiVoice MX-ONE feature integration – route capacity reporting, TDM trunk traffic; and extended support for premises or air gapped systems
  • Better customer lifecycle management – increased functionality for administrators onboarding new users such as detailed welcome emails, standardized user role templates and improved permission granting

As businesses move to the cloud, there is a growing need for the ability to sniff out network quality issues and other problems before they happen, said John Proctor, president and CEO of Martello, in a press release January.

“We’re pleased to work with Mitel to deliver solutions that help a growing segment of Mitel’s customers globally, continuing the strong, long-standing partnership between our companies,” he said.
