Kaspersky launches new global channel partner program

Kasperky Lab is launching a new global channel partner program called Kaspersky United.

This is the first time Kaspersky has unified the channel partner program on a global scale, according to Maxim Frolov, the cybersecurity company’s North American managing director.

“The global program makes the core set of tools, services and incentives available for any partner in any country, meaning that all of our partners around the world can benefit and learn from each other,” Frolov told CDN. “With careful consideration, we have also addressed specific regional needs by providing figures, sales indicators, rebates and other metrics relevant to the local market.”

He indicated Kaspersky United is meant to attract new types of partners, and depending on their targeted achievements, they’ll be able to drive marketing and sales opportunities and earn monetary rewards. Enterprise specialization carries some extra weight.

“All partners that have one of our partner statuses (Registered, Silver, Gold or Platinum) can apply for any enterprise solution specialization. To achieve a specialization, a partner’s employees have to complete training courses and get the necessary certification. After this, the partner should provide Kaspersky Lab with a joint business plan and proof of experience in relevant projects. Also, partners with any enterprise specialization receive Gold Status as a benefit.”

Within the Kaspersky United program, partners will also get comprehensive support and privileges from Kaspersky Lab, including:

  • Monetary rewards including upfront discounts, rebates on target achievement, proposal-based marketing development funds
  • Partners participating in specialization areas can earn rebates of up to 20 per cent
  • Priority presales and implementation support
  • Marketing and sales toolkits
  • Education materials, online and offline training sessions and workshops

Kaspersky says the next phase of the program will include an updated partner portal. Frolov said they currently have 2,000 partners in North America.
